RoundTable is a peer-reviewed journal which actively promotes original and imaginative work by postgraduates and early career researchers within the fields of Children’s Literature, Creative Writing, and English Literature. RoundTable is invested in fostering a postgraduate community committed to research and practice beyond discipline boundaries.

The first issue, which will be presented at the launch event and whose red thread is the theme of journey, was edited by Denise Saul (PhD candidate in Creative Writing), Anne Malewski and Sinéad Moriarty (both PhD candidates with the NCRCL). This first issue includes plenty of children’s literature treats: an interview with Professor David Rudd, articles analysing children’s literature by Nick Campbell, Leanne Hooper, Annette Russell, Leah Phillips, an article by Max Bledstein examining a video game created inconjunction with members of the Alaskan Iñupiat tribe, a nursery noir story taken from a YA novel by Helen Limon, and a review of Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston’s picturebook A Child of Books.
